Facilities and Activities
INTERACTIVE SESSION: Interactive sessions for the students as well as for the Teachers/Principals are held from time to time by various renowned personalities in the school premises. For instance, Shishu Nistha Niketan organised a workshop where in the CBSE Chairperson, Smt. Anita Karwal, IAS, had an interactive session with the Principals and Teachers of CBSE Affiliated schools of Manipur in the presence of Shri Sanjib Das, Regional Officer, Guwahati and Shri Suranjan Lairenjam, Chairman, Shishu Nistha Niketan, Imphal.
DIGITAL CLASSROOM: The School pride in the classrooms that are spacious and well equipped with digital classrooms. Interactive Board, overhead projector, speaker, laptop and assessment devices transform the way teachers and students interact, collaborate and learn.
Laboratories: Well-equiped laboratories for Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English, Geography and Mathematics provide the environment for developing a scientific temper amongst the children. Children learn best by doing. All related activities and experiments are conducted by the students themselves under the supervision of qualified instructors. This gives them a good insight into the basic concepts and their applications.
Cafeteria: The Cafeteria sells hot and cold snack during the 1st recess. Only fresh items are allowed to be served as per school order. Varieties of hot snacks are sold during the break time at an affordable price. The cafe also provides LUNCH during the break time. To avail this facility, the Parents/Guardians have to register the name of the ward at the school office.
Summer Camp: To empower our students different life skills with fun, the school organizes Residential Summer Camp during the summer vacation every year. Horse riding, Zumba Dance, Thang-Ta, Tae-kwondo, Photography, Manipuri Dance, Veda Chanting are few of the activities that the children get to avail during the camp. Various personalities of Manipur and outside are invited during the camp to interact with the children.
Field Trips: Tours outside Manipur are organized for the senior students every year. Such trips help the students to understand the culture & people of the different places. Plans are under way to take them to abroad also.
Parent Teacher Meeting: The Principal/Director is available in case any parent wish to discuss about their child's progress from time to time. Otherwise all the teachers are available to interact with parents on all Saturdays (except the 2nd) from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
CAREER COUNSELING: Career counseling for the senior students are done every year in our school campus by professionals from different Universities accross the country. They are invited from time to time. We also invite speakers and resource persons to school to interact with our students.
